|Memorials for the three wrecked naval battleships|

The memorial for Torpedo Boat No.16 (right): The boat sank outside the Magong Port
while conducting a search on May 11, 1895, during the invasion of Penghu. The memorial
was set up in memory of Captain Oosako Ichikuma and 13 crew members.

The memorial for battleship Kōhei (middle): To chase the enemy fleeing to Bazhao
Island, the warship sailed to Cang Island on December 21, 1895, where it crashed onto a
coral reef due to a typhoon that seemed to come out of nowhere. The memorial was erected
for the 38 deceased soldiers, whose ranks were below that of a petty officer first class.

The memorial for Naramaru (left): The ferry was sunk by a typhoon on December 24,
1897, when it was sailing at sea near Kitajima (note: Mudou Isle). The memorial is for
Commander Yasuda Hatto of a torpedo placement brigade and his eight soldiers, who were
all on the ferry when it sank.
