Ajishi Jihei
The owner of Matsunoe, Aijishi Jihei, was born in Saga Prefecture. He
came to Taiwan in 1899. He started a business by running a cookie shop
alongside soda and wine production. In June 1907, he opened Matsunoe and
later expanded the business by starting a branch store in 1925. He is a
successful figure who now owns a significant amount of wealth and is regarded
as the leader in the industry. Although he is 79 years old now, he still has the
healthy build of a middle-aged man.
