The 2026 Penghu International Fireworks Festival is nearing its finale. Tonight (the 11th), Guanyinting Recreation Area hosted this year’s final international fireworks show, presented by the CADENACI S. A. fireworks team from Argentina, which has been in the fireworks industry for over 80 years. Infusing the passion and vitality of South America into a dazzling fireworks show, the team created a spectacular display against the night sky over Penghu Bay. The visually refreshing extravaganza wowed spectators at the scene, and brought a strong South American flair to this year's series of international fireworks shows.
Tonight's drone show was affected by interference from an unidentified signal, causing some of the images to be displayed incompletely and affecting the overall viewing experience. The County Government sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience.
Deputy Magistrate Lin Jie-shin said that Penghu is blessed with stunning natural scenery, a rich cultural heritage, an abundance of fresh seafood, and the innate warmth and hospitality of the people of Penghu. Together, these qualities make the Penghu Islands a constant favorite for travelers from around the world. The County Government also continues to infuse creativity and fresh ideas to the fireworks festival. Through crossover collaborations with well-known IPs, invitations to outstanding fireworks teams from different countries, and performances by groups from across Taiwan as well as Penghu, the festival aims to give every visitor to Penghu—and everyone who comes to Guanyinting to watch the fireworks—a sense of surprise and anticipation unlike anything they’ve experienced before.
The stage performances before the fireworks show were equally exciting. First, the Penghu County Dance and Sports Association kicked things off with powerful, synchronized choreography, followed by a pop-inspired performance by How We Love Dance Studio, whose energy got the crowd fired up. Next, local Penghu band Fine Land took the stage, engaging the audience passionately through music. Last but not least, the Taiwan Youth Band from Taichung delivered a wonderful finale featuring a diverse selection of anime, movie, and pop music favorites. Their rich and varied wind ensemble arrangements kept the festive atmosphere building at Guanyinting Recreation Area right up until the fireworks began.
