The memorial for sunk ship Bokhard
The memorial stands on Gupo Isle, an
uninhabited island in Baisha Village. In 1892, Bokhard,
a ship belonging to the ferry company B.O., was
destroyed in an accident, killing many passengers. To
memorize the deceased, Hongkongers in Taiwan
collected donations and built the memorial, which was
made of granite.
